Beijing Okhotsk Beer was founded in 1995 to launch the company's branded range of beers (BOKB) on the China market. The local product follows exactly the same process as the international Othotsk beer brewing system, using the purest ingredients to present to drinkers the highest quality and most authentic real ales and lagers.

The beer is produced by the company's imported micro-brewery, visible on-site at the Othotsk bar & restaurant. The equipment is installed and overseen by the company's team of international engineers and experts, combining superlative brewing expertise and top quality control systems to produce the fine range of BOKB beers.

Four types of European beer are available under the BOKB brand: Weizen, Pilsner, Ale and Mild Stout, allowing you to deepen your appreciation for the culture of brewing, by sampling the whole range and assess whether BOKB is living up to it's mission of advancing the development of beer production and improving the quality and range of beers available in the orient.

In addition to top-notch beer, the bar & restaurant also prides itself on the menu available and the dining experience on offer. Conveniently located close to the communication hub of Sanyuan Qiao, within the Pheonix Town development, the Othotsk bar & restaurant extends to almost 1000 square metres and has the capacity for 200 diners!

Weizen (literally 'Wheat Beer') is a wheat & barley derived beer also called a blond beer. It has a light fruity taste, a medium strength of 5% proof and is best served at a controlled temperature of 4-5C. Originating in England, it became popular in Germany where monks added wheat and Bavarian yeast to aid fermentation. It became know as the monks 'fasting' food.

Pilsner is a famous Czech beer with a strength of 5% and is best served at 4-5C in a Bohemian crystal glass - as enjoyed by the European artistocrats of old! The most renowned product of the Czech region of Bohemia, it includes fine crystal & Saaz hops better known as 'Green Gold' hops.

Ale is a traditional English beer, much loved by devoted drinkers around the world. It has a rich brown colour and a characteristically bitter taste, as well as a something of a kick thanks to an alcohol level of 5.5%. Ale is delivered at a slightly milder temperature, 7-8C.

Mild Stout has a long tradition of brewing in Ireland and is world famous thanks to the efforts of the Guinness beer company over the last 100+ years. It too is best served at a warmer 7-9 C and has an alcoholic strength of 5%. Here at BOKB we have taken the basic stout flavor and have reduced the bitterness, and created an even better texture.
